Trust me this is fun! Try and create your own UTLoop.
This is a retailer who just gets it. Gets the audience and knows that the widget must have an idea worth talking about.

Finally got to the bottom of my ON - In box today and I ran across a little something that Michael Donnelly, Director, Worldwide Interactive Marketing at Coke sent me. The note contained a link to grab a CokeTag.
A CokeTag is a personal, customizable widget for individuals, bands, bloggers, artists, and companies to share links to content they want to promote and drive traffic to anywhere on the Web.
Michael says:
"While Facebook may be the starting point for CokeTag, it is only the beginning. We are excited to be working towards the potential of expanding the use of the CokeTag application throughout the web and we are now working on the best way to leverage the OpenSocial platform. We are looking forward to the day when anyone could potentially create a CokeTag and have it on all of their social network profiles and their blog and only have to worry about updating it in one place. That excites me."
What is prett cool is that one of the first uses of a CokeTag will be to promote the we8 recording artists. we8 is an artistic and cultural exchange, uniting eight of China's most exciting artists and design firms with eight of the West's most progressive musicians to design a vision and soundtrack that celebrates the infinite possibilities that await when the doors are flung open from East to West. The we8 program is being launched as part of The Coca-Cola Company's 2008 Bejing Olympic Games marketing activities.
CokeTag's use does not end there. CokeTag has long term legs that will include gathering behavioral data with in social media.
The CokeTag application is being launched as a beta. Among others, the goal is to watch, listen and learn from consumers to determine how the community wishes to use the application and to gather suggestions on how to improve it as it expands outside of Facebook.

What will your future look like? I envision a future that allows me to play with my tennis racket my knees will be transformed back in to m twenty year old knees that can sustain the sudden stop at the net. To have a vision of the future one must know the past. that is no different when it comes to your brand. The Lacoste-Future site combines the rich history and give you a say in how their products will impact your future game.
Lacoste gives you a glimpse into the 2083. A racket that meets the power of the shoe and the flexible fashion that brings new meaning to bionic. The site's simplicity is the most exciting part of the future. Easy navigation does not interrupt the full screen video.
The history of the action was just as important to the future action. The easy to use widget (content sharing mechanism) allowed me three options to share. The consumer generated-content submission was easy and told me how long it would be before m contribution was posted.
Visit http://www.lacoste-future.com to share your vision of the future.

Last January Degree hooked up with 24 to Launch the Rookie. Success with the branded entertainment must have been sweet as they are at it again.
The second series of webisodes inspired by series ‘24’ appear in a site that contains a sweepstakes and a few widgets. I found the widget to lack innovation as it could have been easier to install and offered more functionality. I was not impressed by the spring widgets consumer experience as it took me away from the focus of the site.

I am not sure about you guys but I am awaiting the New Indiana Jones movie as much as I did the first time I caught Harrison Ford's charming protayal of the coolest professor alive. If you are a trailer junkie like I am you will be happy to know the second one is on its way! When a second trailer for
"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" premieres
online, it should spread as fast as the first, thanks to a
widget.
To get the word out about the upcoming "Indiana Jones" movie release, Paramount has launched a widget and is offering the two fans who distribute the widget most widely tickets to the flick's world premiere. The winning fans will also act as red carpet correspondents at the premiere, content from which will be streamed into the widgets.
What I love about this is that the promo is simple and truly urges consumers to share and repost the widget.
Widgets Are Hot in 2008
A recent eMarketer report finds widgets are wiggling more aggressively into marketing budgets. $40 million is expected to be spent on widget marketing by US companies in 2008.
You guys know I love hot widget action.

Designing the perfect experience is what drives me when i come up with an idea. When I was designing the digital experience for Room-A-Day, I needed to find something that could be used for acquisition, conversion as well as retention.
The Kimberly-Clark widget was created with the fundamental tenants of CRM 2.0 with the power of mass social media reach. I did countless hours of interviews with different widget companies, played with different interfaces and designed several scenarios . After all that play, one stood out as not only the strongest multi-platform installer, but it also gave me the strength of a rich media ad server and ad network.
Many of you have asked how The Kimberly-Clark Widget was so easy to implement across all social media platforms. The answer is a phenomenal partnership with a widget platform (Wildfire) and ad network (Gigya). While we created the idea, designed the video and widget interface, it was Gigya's Wildfire that let us do what we do best - which is the strategy and idea. Gigya's technology has facilitated many more installs than we anticipated for the campaign.

The Idea: Self-esteem is worth sharing.
Dove has begun giving users a message to carry into our communities and to our daughters. This portable ad is easy to use badge for woman to display in their social networks.
The one thing that the ad could use is one click installation features that are offered by Widget companies such as Spring Widgets, Gigya and Widget Box. It would also be nice if Dove gave us tips and tools to help build self esteem.

Over the last several months many of you that have followed me via Twitter and Facebook know that my life at TracyLocke has been focused on the creation and development of the Room-A-Day Giveaway promotion for the last 4 months. From the Website to the Media to the much anticipated Dancing Packages widget, the team at TracyLocke has been having a blast delivering an integrated program that begins on January 15, 2008 kick-off on ABC's The View.
Today we will begin launching the Room-A-Day Widget which is a micro-application that brings back the fan favorite Kimberly-Clark Dancing Packages in a new and exciting way. Through the use of a "distributed media" approach our Dancing Packages can appear on any HTML page that our core audience wants to post it to. Designed to create buzz and generate sweepstakes entries, the Dancing Package widget facilitates portable content targeted to hard-to-reach Millennials and other social networkers.
For those of you not apprised of the "distributed media" or "widget" approach here are a few published facts. Chief Marketer in November named the rise of widgets as on of the top ten marketing ideas for 2008.
The article went on to say:
I am incredibly proud of the widget's daily sweepstakes entry functionality. Having covered the branded widget space for over a year now - this is first time I have seen a branded widget that has functionality allowing viewers to directly enter a sweepstakes and maintain daily entries inside of a widget. The sweepstakes functionality will be launched on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008.
There were many partners, trusted clients and coffee shops I must thank for helping TracyLocke and Kimberly-Clark push the envelope and take a risk on an idea that we hope starts a conversation with our core Gen-X Mom audience! Today, I am happy to share The Kimberly-Clark Dancing Packages widget with you, my key influencers within the blogging community, whom I hope will enjoy playing with the dances and choosing the venue where they dance. I encourage you to leave me comments and pass it on!
Please Join me later today for a live broadcast where we will be able to demo the functionality and talk about all the best practices that we helped developed in the creation of this widget!
