Three year old Riley calls bullshit on marketing to young girls. I love it.
Marketing to girls and women requires solid strategy, not just tactics or the color pink. To really make an impact with young girls and women, you've got to commit to them-just like with any other initiative. You have to be smarter than the color pink. There is an insight in this video. Can you tell me what it is?
I think that Riley defines that girls happen to love things that traditionally would be just for guys. If Riley gets it, so should we.
Sometimes I ponder why clients allow media agencies to serve their impressions in such a random method. Check out the irony in this placement.
When I clicked through I was taken to a site that was for an audience that would be considered the 1% - where I was invited to begin building my wealth.
There is a better way. Using seach and social you can target people where they are having wealth building conversations.
For Print Only shows off, what they are calling, the Ligature, Loop & Stem poster. It breaks down typography to their very essential parts and provides a beautiful teaching tool for how typography can impact our lives and how designers can make it better. [via Dooby Brain]

this is a great report on today's youth. It is a view of the first truly global generation, fuelled and empowered by technology and motivated by the same three fundamental needs: Commune (the need for connection, relationships, and community), Justice (the need for social or personal justice, to do what’s right, to be an activist), and Authenticity (the need to see things as they are). These motivations drive behaviours that transcend borders.

This is one of the best finds I have run across this month at the App Store. Imagine finding a list of curated hotels that had open discounted inventory; Imagine no more - I just found a room at the ACE for 150$ through a great app called HotelTonight. At noon, daily, they update a fabulous list of unsold inventory at top rated hot spots in major metros to anyone who has the HotelTonight app.
If you have not downloaded the HotelTonight app - you should. It is one of the most useful apps I have found this month!
