This video is one part of a UK campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer.  E-mail, display advertising and search directs you to the Cancer Research microsite where visitors can have more fun with Tommy while getting tips on being breast aware.

Donors receive a digital desktop calendar with a photo of Tommy for every month of the year.

ON: Audi's A5 Site

Fun and imaginative.  I love the navigation.

It inspires the consumer to discover while allowing the A5 loving consumer to play with all the pieces.

ON: Philips Manalogues

What do guys want to talk about??? 
If you don't know you better ask someone!   It is entertaining as hell.

Better yet, just visit Philips' Bodygroom Manalogues.   It started with the "shave everywhere" campaign.  Now that guys are talking about shaving everywhere, Philips has taken the consumers stories and created launch pad for them to be shared. This part of the conversation lets guys share their shaving everywhere stories.  This is shaving stories meets the Vagina Monologues. This is a great example of a real consumer conversation that is facilitated by the brand.

ON: Every Moment In Context of History

I have to files this one under fool election findings.

EveryMoment Now provides "context and scope to the moments shaping our world."

If stories 'above the fold' are important and those 'below the fold' secondary, then EveryMoment Now is looking 'behind the fold'; ^{(fig 1)} that is laterally, through time. Moments connected with an event both above and below the fold are brought next to each other to gain insight into the now.

People, places and events in the context of media are like stocks — they peak and bottom out over time. They have a media history. There are two insights to be culled from this:

1. Being able to see these spikes (variance) in news coverage over time will illuminate potentially hidden patterns, stories or correlations.
2. Providing a simple, clean and intuitive interface to this data will allow quick access to and assessment of these patterns and stories.

EveryMoment Now aims to illuminate the news through this historical context. EveryMoment Now was built and designed by Craig Mod, a Tokyo based designer and developer.

ON: Wrangler's Why?

Why?  Why ask Why?  Wrangler the definition of an all American bravado brand seems to have taken its brand to an existential place that does not connect with the people who buy their jeans. The "WHY?"campaign that asks why and then answers with "we are animals" does not tell me why I should wear their jeans or why Wrangler will gives me more bravado than other jeans.

Here is the WHY Mantra: "Why do we do certain things? Where does this strength come from, this strength which pushes us forward, helps us and drives us? Is there something in each of us, what makes us stronger? And where does this instinct come from, which makes us, go further without thinking? WE ARE ANIMALS."

There is a way to make Wranglers sheik. This is not one of them.   Even if this was for a Belgian and French audience it seems to loose its core rugged brand presence with a Frenchman speaking in English and not being able to articulate "speed up" instead of "spit up".  What plays in Eurpoe does not always play in Peoria.

The campaign site at http://eu.wrangler.com did a much better job of making the brand look like the American bravado revisited with runway looks that took the rugged denim to a fashionista friendly look for those who want a rugged attitude and life.  While the spot sold me nothing, I would recommend hitting the site at  http://eu.wrangler.com. The site sells the idea "We Are Animals" in away that connects with purchasing jeans.

ON: Tina Fey as Palin

No matter your political views you will find this SNL skit a treasure.  Tina Fey is a spot on for Palin.

NBC Universal has got it right on allowing us to distribute their content. When are the rest of the networks going to give us the right to give them more viewers?

ON: The Election in Context of Geography

Like many of you I have been watching the markets, economic news and our political process unfold with baited breathe. I am always interested in the consumer -voter insights that drive choice.

(CBS, CNN and ABC. You cannot call NBC/MSNBC news any more due to the fact they do not even appear to attempt to be unbiased.) The twitter experience allows you to see the opinions, feelings and issues that are daunting voters.

ON: Google's Mobile Flight

Google is the verb for Search - but can it's new mobile system break the mold in the US that the carriers have created? Or will it have to adapt to a US market where the carriers are the gateway to the consumers?

T-Mobile will be the first US carrier to launch it here in the US.  However, T-Mobile subscriber base is smaller than other carriers in the US.  Another strike against Android is that T-Mobile's high-speed wireless network isn't as extensive as AT&T's. (and as an AT&T and T-mobile user in the US neither network compares to their counterparts in Japan and the UK whose networks are far faster and less complex to develop for) 

So while the sales will not reach the scale of the iPhone in its first year according to business week, this could be yet another OS or mobile platform to add to the competitive set when looking at mobile devices.
